Zoning into my own little world

Yesterday morning I woke up at 6 am. I threw on the outfit that I planned to wear, made my hair look at least presentable, threw everything I had set out in my car, and grabbed a coke from the fridge. I hopped in my clean looking car (good job rain) and drove away from my parents house. I went the normal way I usually go to Route 66, hopped on picked out a CD and turned up the radio. I noticed the traffic already starting to back up ridiculously far at 630 in the morning as I passed 495 and Fairfax and Manassas. Soon the highway became 4 lanes instead of 6. I thought to myself I am making great time. Then I looked at the mile marker 40.

why am I on 66? Im supposed to be on 95 heading to Richmond not 66 heading to Tech. I have work in an hour and a half!!! Panic starts I called the house and luckily dad finds me a route that doesn't involve the crazy traffic back to DC. I get to work only half an hour late, don't miss any calls and still manage to get everything done that I need to.

What scares me is that I drove 30 miles before realizing I wasn't even on the correct highway(scared the crap out of my mom too) How easily I would have been prey to cops I was barely paying attention to anything. Last thing I need is to get another ticket. My car insurance is already through the roof. (I called geico last night turns out they didn't have my last ticket on file, which means I really have to get my own insurance . . .sweet) 2300 a year is ridiculous! I guess its a good thing I didn't get internet or cable I can only afford rent and car insurance. Sigh I need a raise

Fun times last weekend

Nothing like a pregnancy scare to make a weekend more interesting. I got to spend my relaxing weekend home worrying thatI would not be able to be a kid anymore. A few weeks ago the bf and I weren't exactly responsible and then last wednesday I realized I was late. Which led to other realizations. I live by myself in a crappy apartment. Bf still has one more semester of college. Bf plans to build furniture and start company and I wouldn't be able to work with newborn. I have no health coverage for maternity. I have no money in my savings. I still wanted to do grad school. I dont want to grow up. Basically in no way shape or form am I or my bf ready to have a child.

Thank goodness for my wonderful mother who purchased tests for me. Because I am still late still waiting and really annoyed. The tests are negative and I just stopped using the patch so Im all off kilter. Hopefully the tests were right because mostly I wouldn't want to tell my dad. Life is way to hectic right now and my salary is way too low for the stresses and bills that go along with that.

Its Friday!

So excited to finally be done with the week. Yesterday I went shopping and in a fit of self control managed to only come home with 2 shirts and 1 pair of pants. Unluckily the shirts weren't cheap so thats basically all the shopping I get for the month. But I decided that it would be far better to have two shirts that I love then to have 6 that are just okay. I am wearing all new clothes today and I can't tell you what a good mood that puts me in. If only it weren't for the other issue bounching through my head (which I am not going to say outloud right now cause i don't want to jinx it.)

This weekend I get to go home and have dinner with the family. Very exciting. I can't wait for clean laundry and being able to sleep without fear of centipede attack.

I scream for icecream

I love icecream. If they could find a way to make it not hurt my teeth I would eat it constantly. Today we had an icecream social at work and of course because I am incredibly antisocial when I don't know people I waited until there were 15 minutes left so that I could hurry over eat some and then come right back. Of course I exaggerated my own importance. Its not like someone is going to grab me and be like hey stay here and talk to me. Leave it to me to get incredibly nervous and get the idea that someone would bother me.

Old friend

Sometimes it just plain sucks getting older. Like realizing that you and your best friend no longer have anything in common. When I first starting hanging out with the princess I was timid and quiet. If something bothered me I wouldn't bring it up. Then junior year we would have random fights but nothing would come from them. The next day we would pretend as if nothing had happened, nothing would change, and I would still be upset about some way she treated me or other people. Our serious divide happened on my 21st birthday. It was supposed to be the one day out of the year that was supposed to be about me. And yet that didn't work for her and then at the end of the night she insulted my other close friend so I left.

From that point on it hasn't been the same. I used to call her whenever I had a free moment and I felt like she called me too. Now I don't want to call her. The thing about her is I always knew under her selfish exterior she still cared about me on some level. I didn't feel that anymore. All she cared about was parties and bars and she was always dragging me into situations where I didn't feel comfortable. I was constantly brought face to face with old hookups and I just didn't need that anymore. It got to a point where we didn't talk for 4 months straight. And that was okay. I finally was free, I was moving on with my life and not thinking about her.

Then her two best college friends died. Her mom called and I remembered first thinking it was Tonia and I was horrified because I never fixed the void that had come between us. And it made me think alot. I was there for her I called her a ton and for a while she called me. But the time between calls grew longer and longer. Until she was never returning my calls so I was done. Since when is a friendship a one sided effort.

Now I feel lost. I don't really have anyone else that calls me. And the worst part is when she finally does contact me or call me theres always some excuse some lie she comes up with when I don't need that. I took her off facebook so I couldn't see that she was telling people she would call them tonight (it was really bothering me for some reason). Then she called me everyday until I added her again. I feel like she treating me like one her x-bf's who calls all the time and she always got some bs to tell them. Im not going to be dragged around so Im not picking up when a month later she realizes Im not trying anyone. Its just ridiculous. Now today she calls me a week and a half after I called her for her bday saying she had poor reception. Whatever. I told her not to call me at work and now she just making it so I get a message and have to call her back. Screw that. I am not calling. I have plently of other friends. haha Im not a tool.

I guess we just aren't meant to be friends forever like we thought. Its really depressing especially with all the marraige stuff looming in the future. Guess Ill have to find a new bridesmaid haha.

My weekend

What a waste of the weekend. I spent most of it reading (which is what I do on regular days. That is all I did Friday night. Saturday I went couch hunting but to my disappointment couches are so EXPENSIVE. And on top of that how would I get it home? Its not as if I have a rack on my jetta for this kind of thing. So I gave up. I went to return a shirt and ended up buying 3 shirts in exchange (I knew I should have just left the Old Navy) and I bought two books since I was at a loss of how to spend my night. Namely because that morning my sister (who said she was going to go couch shopping with me) was in a cranky mood (which she is about 50-75% of the time). I came to see her in the morning, since she wasn't picking up her cell (which she never does) I decided to walk over because I needed the internet. She didn't want to talk or make noise just sit in a dark room with her friend. I on the other hand, had spent the night before alone and being the social person I am was desperate to talk. So after she yelled at me the like 300th time I called my brother. We talked for like an hour then sister goes how long have you been on the phone? So Im like fine Im leaving. "No dont go, you don't have to go if you don't want to" "No you want to be alone Ill leave" "but now I feel bad and you look angry" SO WHAT!

It doesn't change that you don't want me there and I can't sit silently. Its not my fault your friend is crazy and woke you up at 10 (which I woke up at too but I sleep like a human being) So I left. But when I came after shopping she was in a better mood and willing to get dinner. After deciding take out wasn't for us we drove down to Carytown (which is a cute little streetworth of shops and restaurants a little like Georgetown). We4 ended up deciding on Thai food which was wonderful. I really like Pad see ew and I think laura does too since she kept eating off my plate and said it reminded her of bbq chicken. At the end we had lots of leftovers and full tummy's but we went to go fill our desert shelves at a homemade icecream place. It was a long line and by the time we got our icecream sister was cranky again. surprise surprise. It was the best cake batter Ice cream i ever had but my sister's heath bar icecream tasted more like chocolate chip icecream.

I went home and read and then sunday morning I read soem more. Real exciting. Eventually I got bored so I went to Priscilla's (a dirty store) to get magazines and cards for my friend. So uncomfortable. It looked like a movie rental place turned sex shop. So you could see everyone and everyone could see you. I felt ridiculous. And when a woman in the dildo section gave me a mean look it took all my strength to not burst out laughing at the situation. I left went to the gym and read so yea very exciting weekend haha.

Making Friends

The weekend approaches and I seriously wish I had something to do. I might buy a couch but that is about the extent of the awesome weekend I have planned(maybe some crocheting . . .hmm). I should really go make friends but how does a 23 year old girl go make friends. Should I knock door to door and introduce myself to my incredibly loud and young neighbors? I have to be honest that doesn't sound good at all. This is what I get for befriending military boys and lacrosse girls who are younger then me. There is noone I can hang out with because the military boys get spread all throughout the world (I would say they have it worse but they are surrounded by company) and the lax girls are still in school or go back to Northern Va.

If I went to a bar to make friends the only "friends" I would find is guys trying to pick me up (or girls it has happened before but I threw out those shorts). I joined the gym but making friends there is just asking to weird someone out. What do you say "ya these machines make you really sweaty", "I like that butterfly tattoo", "what exercises did you do to get a body like that?", "you really shouldn't wear those shorts your cellulite shows". If I wasn't so horribly timid and awkward maybe I could make a friend at the gym but that's just not me.

Maybe this weekend I should go find a church. There has to be a Catholic church somewhere here with a choir. Nothing like singing to bring people together. But to be honest you never know what you are going to get in an adult choir. People are either incredibly weird or old. I mean look at me I'm ridiculously weird.

Possibly the most pathetic part of my situation is that I do know people here that were friends with my brother. But two are married (one with a bun in the oven) and the other one while I enjoy his company I was never really that close with him. The problem is that I haven't spoken with them in at least a year. The last time I did I was working with Northwestern Mutual (the bain of my existance) and now they think Im going to call and sell them something. Stupid Northwestern. If they had actually had talked to me and had lunch with me they would have realized not only am I the worst saleman EVER, I just would have bought them lunch because I was trying to pretend I was working. I barely called anyone because most people were mean or hung up on me. O what a terrible terrible job. But now I feel incredibly silly.

Maybe I should call the cousin and see what he is up to. That's always fun and his friends were nice (he works in a lawfirm with other paralegals his age who aren't married) Must be nice.

I just wish I was like 5 again where just being in the same age group was grounds enough to hang out. "I like your shovel can I use it?" I could make friends nomatter where I went and we would laugh and play all day. At least I can count on when I have kids ill make friends again with other parents. Although from the way its looking I will still be young since Im already thinking marraige thoughts and baby thoughts (incredibly scary for someone who wants to go back to being 5). Most girls these days don't get these thoughts til they are 30. Yet here I am thinking. O well, back to work.

Over there

My friend is in Iraq and I have decided to send him a care package. But I don't know what to send. If I could I would send him potroast and cookies and mash potatoes. I guess cookies would keep definitely sending him dirty magazines (my friends who have already been there say its like money) Other then that I am at a loss. I could send pictures or books or movies but thats not very exciting. Maybe a game or something. O well Ill just have to wander around target and pick some stuff out.

It's so weird that he is there I still remember freshman year when he used to come in my room to fart because he wasn't comfortable enough with his gf yet to reveal he has a problem. We were both in the corps of cadets together and after I left AF we were both in AROTC together. He was like a brother to me. We would go to parties together and talk about relationship problems, and he would put a toothbrush in my mouth when I was sleeping and yell "Brush your teeth!" Sigh fond memories.

My office

All the "adults" are currently with a mutual fund sales man and I am at a place where I need help because I don't know how to do what I am working on. So I figured I would keep myself preoccupied by blogging.

In my office there are 8 "adults"(all the advisors) and 5 younglings including myself: 1 guy my age(who is married with kids), 1 guy a little younger(still in college), a random asian guy (who I think is my age but he hides in his office so I wouldn't know) and a highschooler(Barbie). I don't exactly have bar friends here. I am also currently the oldest non-married (unless random asian beats me) employee. On top of that everyone has a seperate office except for the other younglings(not the asian guy hes all alone too) we can call them the dynamic trio fighting crimes with their super scanner. So in order to communicate I would have to leave my little sanctuary and disturb someone who is working. Sigh. Good thing my bosses are fun and entertaining or else I would be incredibly bored all the time.

Today has been so quiet but this is the first time I haven't been busy. Definitely nice to have Boss 1 back because she knows how to do alot and she finds things for me to do. Yay!

Problems with Gas resolved!!!

YAY! I HAVE GAS! I was right all along it turns out that my service was turned on. I called the gas company a low and behold the bitch I talked to was crazy. The guy still came to my house even though I was not there found that it was on did a check of whatever the hell they check and left a card? Which I think one of my awesome neighbors picked up. (I live near such sketchy people) The lovely woman I talked to today apologized for my mistreatment gave me my account number and explained to me the charges. So nice to speak with a human being for once. And best of all I can cook! Tonight I will make cookies to celebrate(though I just said how I have a problem with food). I can make cakes and cookies and chicken and roasts and all the glorious things I love! Hooray!!!

On another note I don't know what to do with myself. I carried that anger around, weighing me down like a gorilla on my back. Now I feel like a deflated balloon. I will have to fill myself up with some happy feelings so I don't fall asleep depressed and alone in my apartment at 9pm like some old maid. I will celebrate by cookies and gym then. Lots of gym time. Bf did point out that I look much smaller. (Is it weird that I feel good about myself if he can't keep his hands to himself? No I thought not haha.) This day just keeps getting better!

Lunch ponderings

When I was younger I always thought it was a huge treat to have a microwave dinner. Mac and cheese and nuggets with a brownie was awesome. Now I am eating my Lean Cuisine Mac and Cheese and I wonder what was I eating back then. I know they are different but in my lack of oven state I have eaten ALOT of frozen dinners and they are seriously dissapointing. Not only that I will probably get cancer from eating microwave stuff all the time. haha

Really all I want to do is pop in the car and run over to Chipolte and get a burrito. Then find a candy store and get some Peanut butter fudge. And I wonder why I gained like 20 lbs last year(its ok, i have already lost 10 of that plus i was tiny). I have no power over cravings!!! Is it so wrong that I LOVE food. My dad says my problem is I see food as a reward. Got a new job LETS GO OUT TO DINNER! got a new haircut? lets get a taco. Broke a nail? I need creme bruleie. But how the hell do I change that? I cant tell my tastebuds to stop working!

calm after the storm

Yes yesterday was a serious exaggeration. Finally talked to compliance officer and while he was annoyed "the cat is out of the bag" there is nothing we can do about it now. Like I was going to sneak over to the client's houses and take the letters out of the mail boxes. I really didn't need to freak out but people are funny you could easily lose a client over being a bit flighty. Today has been great so far Boss 1 is now back from vacation. I have lots of stuff to do and am greatful for the distraction.

Last night I was so exhausted I didn't even have the usual bf chat. Now I am incredibly annoyed that I didn't. I needed the sleep but it makes me have to wait so much longer for the update. I was so tired I could barely listen to him I am a crappy gf haha. I read a book and fell asleep at 9 so when the bf called me back at 10 i was still in groggy phase. I am not exactly pleasant when I wake up.

I wanna go home

The compliance officer never called. I can only hope that in the next 5 minutes this continues and that he just leaves a nice message. (Why yes I am non-confrontational) I have to pee so bad I think I am going to explode. Still fairly new to the building I only know of the one bathroom and they are workign on it. No signs, no warnings, I have no wehre to go.

I just want to go home and curl up in bed with my book. (I am reading Pride and Prejudice yet again because I am out of books to read) Ill be so happy when this terrible day is over and I can laugh at being so ridiculous

Waiting for my sentencing

I am sitting here waiting for the compliance officer to call and I feel like I am waiting on the sentence of the jury. I made a huge mistake on my terrible day last Friday the 13th. In mixing up two letters (they were put in each others envelopes) I have seriously breached two clients privacies. I don't know what is going to happen. My heart feels like it dropped to my stomach and is burroughing to hide.

How did I do that? I distinctly remember sealing the first one before even starting on the second one. In checking my copies I definitely printed both letters. What if I loose my job after this? What would I do? No one would higher me if I was fired for something like this I would have to find a completely new career. I am having a serious panick attack when all I want to do is go home and sleep. (and cry) I really think I am going to throw up. I cant be trusted with people's personal information because I am a scatterbrained idiot. Im going to have to work at Mother's Macaroons for the rest of my life.

A lovely weekend

I had the most wonderful weekend ever. Starting with my trip home which went fast I went to Ruby Tuesdays and had a delicious mixed drink with my yummy yummy dinner. I managed to do laundry for free at the parents house (I have yet to pay since moving to Richmond). I got to bed at a decent hour but due to a good book and my sister's ridiculously loud friends I didn't really fall asleep when I wanted to.

On Saturday I woke up late and ended up not leaving until 10. Luckily due to lack of cops and driving buddies (cars I can follow) I made it to Bellefonte in record time to see my love. When I learned on Friday I was not too excited about the prospect of a weekend with the bf at his Grandparents (not sleeping together, no touching allowed) but with his grandma gone apparently we were free to do whatevere we wanted. We went to the arts festival first, spent money only on food (Art is so expensive). I almost bought a watercolor print but then thought this is tiny, where am I going to put this when I have a real house and normal sized art. By the end of the arts festival I was so incredibly tired of looking at woodworking (my love's passion) and I just wanted a nap(my feet hurt). First we went to visit his great uncle and aunt (his entire family on both sides seems to be from this tiny town). This led to some inappropriateness in a corn field,(fun exciting) and then we were off since they were going to church. Then after an extremely late dinner of ravioli's and coldish perogies(silly restaurant) I was able to curl up in a warm bed with the bf which is just ultimate bliss. Of course there was a cat head butting me until I feel asleep for god knows what but even she couldn't ruin the lovely moment.

I was awoken once again by headbutting Cleo and a warm body next to me which is always a great way to start the day. We made a trip out to Penn's cave which is a large cave with water running through it. We were able to take a boat tour which was amazing(neat cave shapes and nice cool air, led out to pretty lake with elk) but ridiculously expensive(13 a person!). Jarrod bought a rock with emeralds in it and we went back to the grandparents

Lunch was sandwiches from a sub shop. We went to a cute little park in historic bellefonte . After we ate we fed ducks(which bf tried to lead over a waterfall) and giant fishes (which bf tried to make jump into the wall). It's funny how relaxing it is to do such simple things as feed trout dog food (it was left behind by people). The ducklings were the best. I wish I could have taken one home.

We then went to see License to Wed which was funny and corny. I highly recommend it especially if you like the office because half the cast was in it. Also the bf is not the biggest fan of romantic comedies but even he liked it which means it must be okay for manly men.

We ended the night by going to American grill and ale house which was such a sheak little place for such a small town. I had the crab pan roast which was delicious. After dinner it was already 8 and I needed to make a basically 6 hour drive back to Richmond. Not only did I not want to go but I had to leave my love behind. So painful. I ended up stopping over at the parents in Arlington. I called the sister and told her her friends need to be quiet I have to get up early. She was insulted and said her friends were loud but they would be quiet. I was woken up at 1 2 3 and then finally they left. I wanted to strangle people. This mornings drive was painful and now this work day I am exhausted and being terrible at my job. But it is so worth it for such a great weekend.

My Trouble with Gas

A few weeks back I called the gas company to set up my service so that I could use the oven in my house. The girl who helped me was a complete bitch, was completely short with me when I wasn't able to give her an account number (apparently that was supposed to magically be pulled out of my ass) and when she finished she didn't give me an account number, didn't give me the times they would be by to turn the gas on, and was just plain mean for no reason. All I knew is they were coming on the thirteenth. Last friday I came home and my house smelt gasy. For shits and giggles I turned on the stove. Woolah! Fire! I was so excited I boiled a hotdog.

Yesterday I told my boss I would probably be in for work today because I magically had gas. I called them after I left work to tell them I apparently don't need setup anymore. Somehow I manage to get the same angry african american female. She says no the gas should be off. What? Apparently I still have gas in my pipes (sounds like complete bs I think they just want the set up fee) O and so unhappily I ask when will they be coming, Between 8-4. And no they can't make that time frame shorter.

So I got up early did what I need to before 8 (went to bank). I pulled out a book and I read while I waited. And waited. And waited. Finally at 2 in exasperation I called my sister to complain. she said they offered her a curtesy call on top of comign at 930. This is complete bullshit. I call the gas company. " I have been waiting since 8 for the guy to arrive to connect me and I wanted to make sure i was actually scheduled for today". The woman has the audacity to LAUGH AT ME! (this was a different bitch) then put me on hold. When she came back on she said Im going to transfer you over. (not where she was though) I am transfered back to the gd main menu. I try to enter the numbers in the same so that I can get back to a person. The machine tells me sorry we are having trouble with the phone system please try again later. I am LIVID!

Of course this is when the bf calls so I break down into pissed off tears. And this is when he decides to tell me he is too sick to come see me, awesome. This is a great day. So I throw caution to the wind, lock up my apartment and say F them Im going to work! How exciting. And romatic really. haha.

Looking forward to the weekend

I cannot wait for this weekend and I believe that is what is making sitting here at my desk doing nothing so painful.

Friday I will be heading home to Arlington. From there is still a little bit up in the air. If the bf isn't coming to see me then I will be spending the evening with my tiny vietnamese friend (KT). Her birthday was last Tuesday and while I would prefer she came to my house so I could make her dinner and a cake, her parents are ridiculously superstitious and think that if she goes out on Friday the 13th some evil will befall her. On top of that KT is already on basic house arrest (she wasn't exactly an angel this semester). So I will be visiting her if bf won't be visiting me. Then on saturday I will go up to State College PA where the bf is visiting the grandparents and were going to go into some cave on a boat. To be honest it sounds like something a lil scary to me (dark, tight places, cave animals) But it still sounds exciting and fun and at least something different. The bf is way better at that sort of thing then I am.

If bf is coming then I will be staying at home doing laundry and waiting for him to come then on Saturday I am thinking a trip to mount vernon would be a good idea because he wants something to do and I haven't been there since I was a child. I think it would be a lot of fun. Also on Saturday my sister plans on making KT a birthday breakfast of sorts so that should be interesting. Mostly I want to see the bf I have to tell you long distance relationships suck. All I have is a phonecall a day for interaction and due to our phone plans that only happens at 9pm. And last night I called but he is seriously ill with some sort of stomach flu so I was only able to chat for like 5 minutes which sucked so bad. So I cling to any contact. Hoping this weekend goes well.

Children's books

I have decided to write children's books. J.K. Rowling at one time lived out of her car. She is now the richest woman in England. Richer than the queen. I wouldn't mind being rich and having a job that merely involves using ones imagination. Now I spend my time doing mind numbing tasks and counting. I need to start exercising my brain more I think. I should start getting back into writing poems (the structured kind since they require more thought). If only I had better grammer and vocabulary but thats something easily fixed with practice.

So what to write novels or illustrated books. I used to have some skill at drawing but again that it something of the past it seems. My hands just aren't as skill as they used to be at smooth lines. I wish Tech had had art classes I could have taken. They were all so locked away with space for only 8 art majors. The only art I could take is like into to design or art history neither of which have you do any sort of hands on fun. I miss Art Camp from when I was younger. those were the days. Two weeks of the summer doing nothing but dancing drawing painting acting and enjoying the company of little kids. Who say odd things and look up to you because your taller and you talk to them like a regular person. i loved being a counselor because it was so easy to feel important with little kids wanting you to look at and approve of everything they did.

Maybe I should have been a teacher. But I always worry that I would get bored of it plus it seems like every woman in my family is one so how boring to follow in all their footsteps. I had decided sophomore year when Tech decided to no longer carry the teaching program that I must not have been meant to be one. Because what a pain it would have been to transfer schools to try to do something i dont even know that I would want to do.

But children's books that would be great. Or to open a small cute bookstore/cafe and bakery. I could make cookies and read stories at noon on Saturdays. This will all probably never happen but its nice to dream.

I am an idiot

So last Monday I went to the gym after work. It was about 6pm (which is earlier then I usually go) and it was PACKED. I found a climber thingy that actually worked and hopped on. I just did 20 minutes hoping to later go use the eliptical which I like more. at 10 minutes in I am sweating buckets and feeling shitty, but it has only been 10 minutes I cant get off or else people will think I am like that girl who has no clue what shes doing (which i dont) and is just coming to the gym to pretend she does. At 15 minutes I am dizzy but I tell myself thats ridiculous, I am in better shape then that, I am finishing even if it means walking very slow. At 20 minutes beep I can finally get off. Tunnel vision. In my head I'm thinking "O shyt, I am not passing out, there would be nothing more embarassing then falling to the ground behind the climbers. Waking up with every exerciser thinking what an idiot while the crowd around my sweaty body. And having a trainer tell me Im a moron."

Somehow I managed to pull myself together and did a tripping over myself walk to whipe down my machine and go to the water fountain. That's right I need water to live. I went the whole day with only drinking a few sips of something in the morning. I am completely dehydrated and yay now miserable! I went into the women's locker room and considered sitting on the bench til the world stops spinning but no then someone would come ask if I was okay. Where could I hide!? The bathroom, I sat on the toilet for 15 minutes until I felt well enough to go to my car and drive.

I stopped at Wendy's because sugar water is what I need and what better but a sprite and some dinner. I happily drank my sprite and ate bag fries. When I got home I took out my frescata sandwhich and took a big bite. Now that tastes funny. I look under it eew theres honey mustard on it that must be it. I take a bite of just the ham, nope the ham is bad. The night just pretty much went downhill from there, so i showered and read a book and went to bed early.

My life is so exciting

technology

I have decided to not have tv or internet in my house. My reasons:

1. They would cost me about an extra 100 a month
2. They would only make me become me unactive and alone in my house
3. I would rather spend the money on books or clothes
4. Set up in a pain in the tookus

I have found without these things I am more inclined to go to the gym (very important), read books (good for the mind), and actually call and talk to friends(something I usually rely on internet conversation to do.

Also big point, I might not be staying in my apartment the whole year, so signing a contract would not really work for me.

Another big thing is with internet most of the "affordable" internet services require me to get a phone line which would add another cost because I would have to pay to have a phone that I would not use.

Speaking of phones, I am looking into getting a family plan with the bf. Right now we are limited to phone calls after 9 which blows hardcore. He has a plan that only gives him 400 minutes! And he shares in with his brother! So it would be better to put the money he pays for overages into a phone line just for us since we will probably just continue to use it when he joins me here in good ol Richmond.

Glamorous

When I was little I always hoped that when I grew up I would be tall, thin and glamorous. I would have shiney long hair and fashionable clothes. Either that or I wanted to be petite and cute (which made more sense since I was tiny as a kid, always the smallest). Instead I ended up in between. Awesome. My legs are petite which my butt is a normal size leaning towards badonkadonk and my torso is long and tall. Nothing fits properly. Especially not trendy clothes. I walk more like a little kid (somewhere inbetween a skip and a waddle) then a fashion model. I am definitely more of a goon then a fashionista.

But maybe its for the best because I am sure I would have to be dreadfully serious and somewhat bitchy. I would not be allowed to laugh at farts or call people poop mouths. I would have never been able to play sports(as terrible at them as I was). I would never even consider sending porn to my friends in Iraq much less be friends with them ( I would have never tried to join the Army in the first place). There would be no wrestling with my bf, or chugging contests. I could never eat or love food like I do, or drink like I did.And just think of all the fun I would miss out on if I wasn't such a klutz. No falling, spilling, slipping, tripping, dropping food on myself; it would be ridiculously dull to hang out with me. I would never be funny since I am only funny on accident(I can pretend they laugh with me).

Don't get me wrong I am still a girl and I wouldn't want to be anything else (man, mermaid, centuar, picture frame etc). I throw things terribly since I have absolutely no aim. I like makeup and jewelry, clothes and pretty shoes. I have no clue about cars or electronics nor do I have any desire to learn further. I sing in mezzo, I love to dance, I like drinking fruity drinks, and running terribly slow. But I was always seem a bit immature a lot younger then I am (my looks don't help with that one). Instead of glamorous I am a self proclaimed goof.

I want to get up later

I really believe that I shouldn't have to come into the office until 9. No one calls before then and 75% of the time I am the first one in the office. If I came at 9 that would become 50% which would be fine. The only thing I really do early in the morning is put out the Fedex envelope which isn't picked up until 430. Most of the clients don't even want to talk to me anyway. But o well then I would have to leave at 530 which wouldn't be the end of the world but would suck traffic wise. Boss 2 gets to work from home Im so jealous right now.

Every morning these days I am waking up later and later. Soon I will not have time to iron my pants and brush my teeth I will be forced to make a decision. And yes I know i wouldn't have to do that in the morning if I laid out my clothes the night before but that is my read book/watch movie time. (Would be my play on internet time if I could get around to setting up the service and fixing my computer which lately sounds like its going to short out on me any second)

I am starting to wonder what I get paid for because lately it seems to be picking up the found which I am TERRIBLE at. The clients must hate me I sound like a moron every time. My new favorite line "Can I put you on hold I just need to check on that" Then I run around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to figure out what to do. "Thank you for holding im going to get [Boss 2] to call you back whats your number?" I really really hope that in a month I can actually tell people what they need to know. I hate leaving them frustrated.

More than meets the eye!

Transformers is the most amazing movie ever!!! I loved it. Maybe I get a little more excited then other people when tank killers bring on the rain but I don't know who doesn't get excited by jets and planes blowing the bageebers out of bad guys. Is it weird that I really like the actor Shia Labeouf. My sister and I fell in love with his humor when he was a child actor on disney in Even Stevens. Even with it being tame and corny. When did he beef up so much?

And yes I know he is 2 years younger but I still think he is becoming quite the attractive funny jew. He looked surprisingly good running from megatron haha. He has certainly come a long way from even stevens, now being in an action movie and winning the affections of a beautiful car theif.
From the movie my favorite autobot is Bumblebee. I know people were upset that he wasn't a beetle like he was supposed to be from the comics but come on what kid these days would want to drive a beetle. Shia would never have gotten the girl driving a chick car. He still looked like a bee with the yellow and black.
The movie was awesome, the special affects were awesome, the explosions were awesome, the fight scenes were awesome, the military scenes were awesome, the main characters were easy on the eyes, the movie was actually funny along with the awesome. At the end the theater stood up and clapped. My only complaint is that gorgeous Austrailian girls are never picked from highschool to work for the department of defense of the US as a computer geek. But then again if they picked someone who looked like they belonged there it would stay true to the stereotypical cartoon/comic book girls. Big boobs, tiny waist and hips. So Ill let it slide.
Go see this movie!

Seriously Slowing Down

It is the first day of my third week at my job. I am sooooo BORED. When I first arrived there was so much stuff to do I barely had time to do anything and I loved it. I am a like a shark if I don't keep moving I die, not exactly die that would be weird if I had to jump around all the time to keep alive, but if I dont have work to do (any work I even love busy work Im weird) my motivation level will fall to an ultimate low.

I have tried desperately to make myself take my time in my tasks but I do everything fast, I can't help it. My first boss who was trying in vain to invent tasks for me that would take a week (they usually took a day or two) has gone on vacation. Boss2 is working from home today like he would usually, and since he is not the one who usually does all the paperwork and task work he has barely anything for me to do. So I am stuck sitting here searching for inspiration for a way to spend my time productively but I am so new that I have no idea what to do other then tidy. Very frustrating

Its not like I have anyone to chat with, which i realize is the biggest problem about having my own office. All the other people my age are in a room at the other end of the suite. You would think it owuld be a good thing to have my own office but the shyt of it is that my computer faces the door and the door is supposed to be open so everyone can see what I am doing so I can only goof off in small spurts. So here I am all alone with nothing to do and no ability just read a book or surf the web unless on lunch break.

I could come up with other things to work on if I had my password and login fully set up on the mainframe but since it takes forever to make sure that I am not a criminal and will not run off with client information I can't even work on that. I am frustrated and bored and can't wait to go to the gym
